The Ivy Café Opens

Following on from the opening of The Ivy Chelsea Garden earlier this year, next Tuesday will see the opening of The Ivy Café in Marylebone.

The new venue will be open from breakfast through to dinner and serving everything in between Pippin’s line in Lord of the Rings comes to mind, ‘What about elevenses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner?’ Well our little Hobbit friend, you’ll find that all here as well as brunch and snacks…

Highlights from the menu include, crumpets served with marmite, the Ivy Café HLT which is a BLT but with grilled haloumi and avocado, lobster risotto with fennel, lemon and for pudding the mini salted caramel balls and the chocolate bombs sound just like our sort of thing. The cocktail menu will serve six specially concocted cocktails which are unique takes on favourites, including an espresso martini served unsweetened with hot cross buns, amaretto and crème brulee infusions so that guests can sweeten them their selves.

Martin Brudnizki Design is overseeing the interior and will be using antique brass, pendant lighting, marble floor tiles and vintage red leather banquettes to create a relaxed, casual atmosphere making it perfect for dinner with friends, drinks with colleagues or day time meetings.

With a brasserie set to open in Kensington later in the year, it looks like The Ivy empire is expanding and fast.

The Ivy Café: Opens 3rd November, 96 Marylebone Lane, Marylebone, W1U 2AQ, www.theivycafemarylebone.com
