Not snagged an invite to the royal wedding? Don’t worry you can still celebrate in style at one of London’s top hotels with no intrusive paparazzi snapping away at your hat and without your mobile phone being confiscated at the door.

Brunch at Brown's

Brown’s Hotel will be serving up a delicious Royal Wedding brunch at HIX at the Albemarle. Head chef, Marcus Verberne, has created a sumptuous menu featuring quintessential British cuisine set to charm any Royalist from Hix cure De Beauvoir smoked salmon with scrambled eggs to eggy bread with smoked Orkney bacon and crème fraiche. Guests are invited to saunter through to the The Donovan Bar to watch the ceremony clutching a Royal Passion cocktail. Follow with The Royal Afternoon tea in The English Tea Room with Kir Royal jelly and crown cupcakes washed down with a glass of fizz (The Royal tea runs through 2 May).

Take tea at Washington Mayfair

Another most elegant option in which to take tea is the Washington Mayfair. From 22 April through 6 May, the Royal Tea begins with a Fraise Royal cocktail – swiftly followed by a panoply of sandwiches such as roast beef with horseradish, smoked salmon dill cream cheese and Linconshire poacher farmhouse cheese with onion chutney and yummy mini fruit scones with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry jam, mini cakes and pastries too.

The Mandeville goes pop

Celebrate the royal wedding with afternoon tea accompanied by a specially labelled bottle of Pommery POP Champagne. You’ll savour sandwiches of Scottish smoked salmon, free range egg mayoand home cooked ham with grain mustard and freshly baked raisin scones with Devonshire clotted cream and strawberry and blueberry fam but we’ve got our eye on the HRH chocolate dipped strawberries and sapphire blue meringues. All day feast at Bentley’s Oyster Bar & Grill

Guests enjoying Richard Corrigan’s cuisine at Bentely’s will certainly be in good company as he'll be cooking the very menu he prepared for the Queen on BBC’s Great British Menu. the day will begin with a Royal Breakfast including Belvelly smoked salmon with scrambled eggs after which it’s time to watch the ceremony on an enormous plasma screen on the terrace. And following the ‘I dos’ you’ll doubtless have worked up an appetite for Bentley’s Royal Fish Pie with lobster, scallops and king prawns and then macerated raspberries with basil and champagne for dessert. Something old, something new at The Bentley

The Bentley London A Waldorf Astoria Hotel is drawing on the age-old adage to celebrate the royal wedding with a fabulous Champagne Tea. The old is represented by a chilled glass of vintage Champagne, the new is a beautiful commemorative souvenir for each guest, the borrowed is the 18th Century tradition of afternoon tea complete with freshly baked scones and organic strawberry jam and as for the blue, who could resist the special occasion Sapphire Cup Cake? (27 April through 1 May).
