Living among busy commuters, especially around the hustle and bustle of Oxford Circus, it’s not every day that we can enjoy soaking in the Cuban sun from across the other side of the globe. However, this is due to change, at least for the next few summer months. The Churchill Bar is transforming its award-winning terrace into a Cuban paradise so you too can step into Sir Winston Churchill’s adventurous shoes and enjoy a Cuban haven a little closer to home.

From May 15th, The Churchill Bar unlocks its launch of ‘Casa de Cuba’ along with their transformed seasonal summer terrace. As an ode to Churchill’s first ever international excursion outside of Europe in 1895 where he observed the Cuban Independence War. The Churchill Bar is known for its beautiful designed terrace tucked away behind Oxford Street in Portman Square.

Head Bartender Daniele Bresciani and his team have curated a cuban sanctuary with their new cocktail menu allowing you an authentic taste of the Caribbean. The ‘Baptism of Fire’ uses Zacapa 23-year-old rum combined with a banana and chilli shrub which will add a fruity yet fiery spark to your day. Or enjoy a take on ‘Guantanamera’ which plays a homage to one of Cuban’s most well-known songs, inspired by a noble country woman.

For those not lucky enough to be jetting off on holiday this summer, do not fear. The Churchill Bar and Terrace provides the perfect spot to revel in a Caribbean paradise, soak up the tropical vibe and enjoy the authentic cocktails and Cuban treats on offer.

The Churchill Bar and Terrace ‘Casa de Cuba’ opens on May 15th at 30 Portman Square,W1H7BH,
