VQ: 24/7 Eating in Aldgate

Even before the night tube, we weren’t very good at going bed to early and now that it’s here we have even less reason to end the night. Things that do inevitably sends us home: one too many cocktails, having to get up for work and feeling hungry.

Yes, we could get a kebab, or we could go to VQ. The 24/7 restaurant is already in Notting Hill, Chelsea and Bloomsbury and next month it’ll be opening in Aldgate in the Dorsett City Hotel.

Want halloumi fries with tzatziki at 2am? No problem? Need a sticky toffee pudding fix at 5:30am? Sorted. Live off brunch and need eggs benedict at 6pm? Done. You get our drift… they serve food 24/7.  Other dishes will include Merguez sausages with harissa and aioli dips; chicken Kievs, BBQ ribs, pastas and apple crumble and custard.

Designed by Busby Webb, you can guarantee that the sixty cover restaurant is going to look much better than the usual late -night food haunts. Wood panelling will outline the room that is filled with leather banquettes and booths or head outside where there’ll be seating for a further sixty.

Our metaphorical time shackles are off, hurrah.

VQ: Opens 2nd July 2017,  Ground Floor Dorsett City Hotel, 9-13 Aldgate High Street, EC3N 1AH
