London’s notorious Whisky Mist night club, famed for its opulent décor, whisky and celebrities, officially reopens tomorrow promising a darkly glamorous new spin on its Scottish heritage. It has been extensively refurbished by Nick House and a team brought together from the best clubs in Europe and now also boasts adjoining sister venue, the uber exclusive Rusty Nail.
Think interiors like a beautiful gothic chapel with a pulpit that doubles as a DJ booth, stained-glass stone windows, a reclaimed church organ and pews – not to mention suits of armour, tartans, whisky barrels and the Whisky Mist stag taking prime position.
Welcoming guests each night will be attendants resplendent in Whisky Mist’s own tartan and who, come midnight, will enact a special ceremony. Alongside the Whisky Mist signature cocktail, infused with amber and honey, other newly devised concoctions will be served in drinking vessels made of pewter and steel, leather and horn.
With the return of Whisky Mist comes sister club, Rusty Nail. With an intimate capacity of 80, it’s a late-night hangout for a select few where candles, distressed wallpaper and old whisky barrels contrast against neon lights and contemporary art. Expect super-premium whiskies and cocktails and carefully curated line-up of DJs.
