Prepare To Go Wild, Honey

We’re wild about this new restaurant opening, as just when we thought we’d seen the poignant end of an era with the closure of Wild Honey in Mayfair – after a whopping 12 years – Chef Anthony Demetre has announced Wild Honey will be opening in a brand new location; the former site of The Balcon restaurant at a new site at Sofitel London St James.  

Wild Honey will see an evolution of the food and style of its predecessor, with Head Chef Simon Woodrow collaborating with Anthony. The menu will continue its French-based contemporary, seasonal cooking methods with a nod to the British Isles, where Wild Honey first gained notoriety. Dishes will include warm smoked eel and rillettes, traditional bouillabaisse, tarte tropezienne, fried egg and raw cream and of course, London wild honey ice cream. Their extensive wine list includes an array of approximately 100 options with both new and old world selections.

The new site will see a total transformation in design which is being led by Jim Hamilton Design Ltd to follow the new direction of the bar and restaurant. It is in the prime position of Pall Mall and Waterloo Place – it’s bound to be a hit!
