Not just a working film studio, the innovative production hub Wimbledon Film and TV Studios have just announced that they will be launching a new event space, which will be ready just in time for the winter party season and Christmas.
Positioned perfectly within the already existing studios, so that guests can explore the other areas, the new space is over 5000ft² and includes a large floor area, and adjacent restaurant with a bar stretching out an impressive 1000ft as well as a mezzanine level, providing views out across the floor below.
Close enough to central London, without the bustle of the City; the new venue will be the latest in the unique event spaces which the studio has to offer for both corporate and private events. For those looking for a film themed party you should definitely take a look at their sets, especially the inside street and pub which are sure to be recognizable, from the numerous adverts and music videos it has featured in.
To celebrate the launch of the new space and the recent partnership with Bespoke Events, the studio will be introducing their latest party offer and this year they are returning to a glamorous era gone by, seeking inspiration in the classic films of the 1940s and 1950s. Think Casablanca, Great Expectations and It’s a Wonderful Life. Expect to see, a black and white chequered dance floor, vintage cameras and film lights decorating the studio, film reels and stills of the stars that are synonymous with the period and other unique touches such as a director’s chair which was used on set by Steven Spielberg!
On the menu you will find dishes such as celeriac and white truffle soup, Scottish venison loin, salmon en croute and of course a Christmas pudding and a chocolate Yule log. After supper and an expedition around the studios, we say dance the night away to the sound of 1940s jazz bands and tributes to the swing era with performances from Frank Sinatra-esque singers!
