Cocktails, dancing, DJs and spectacular views over the capital – welcome to Zinc launching today on the 31st floor of Centre Point, a level below Paramount restaurant. Overseen by General Manager Greg Ballester, Zinc will open Friday and Saturday evenings with DJs playing beach house, melodic, hard house and electro. And with a 4am license too, come spring, you might even be able to watch the sun come up.

Designed by Studio Wick, interiors feature a snake-inspired velvet chaise longue winding its way down one entire side of the lounge, fretwork walls, cutting edge lighting and a futuristic 10ft Tom Dixon designed bar made from zinc. What else?

The drinks list features contemporary classics and signature serves from bar manager Jonathan Sireling will include The Zinc Julep (Bombay Sapphire Gin, Thyme-infused Dry Vermouth with a dash of Lavender Bitters, topped with Tonic Water), Beekeeper (Butter-infused Bacardi shaken with Lime and Honey) and 21st Century (Grey Goose Vodka, White Chocolate, Lemongrass, Billecart-Salmon Champagne and Rosemary).

Snack on sliders and other gourmet sharing dishes that promise to change on a regular basis but prepare for a rise in tempo and a dimming of lights as Zinc transforms itself into a club.

Says Pierre Condou (Bistro Bruno, L’Odeon and Century Club), man behind the new venue, “We’ve created Zinc with a sense of imagination, style and fun.  We hope to welcome you to our new venue very soon, the sky’s the limit!”
