If you clicked onto this article thinking WTAF, you wouldn’t be alone. We’re half as confused as you are, but we’re here to confirm that this really is happening. Paris Hilton, the heiress of the Hilton Hotels, celebrity partier and all round reality star, is getting her own Netflix cooking show. And it’s set to be as wild, wacky and laughable as it sounds.
Famed for making a scene at Hollywood A-lister parties, her cringe-worthy music hits, starring alongside Nicole Riche in the reality show, The Simple Life, and just about everything under the sun, it’s fair to say that Paris Hilton has been in the media spotlight since day dot. And being the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, the founder of the billionaire Hilton Hotel franchise, has meant she’s had quite the reputation to live up to.
And she’s making the headlines once again as she announced earlier this month that she would be teaming up with Netflix to create a new series, Cooking with Paris.
Scheduled to land onto the streaming site giant’s service on August 4th, Cooking with Paris will see the hotel heiress cook up quite the storm (and some) as she gets equipped with all of the cooking utensils, ingredients and recipes we’ve all got knocking around in our kitchen cupboards.
As you’d expect it went viral and saw millions around the world tuning in to see Paris get to grips with making a lasagna at home.
Wondering where on earth the idea came from? Believe it or not, the series is actually inspired by a YouTube video she uploaded back in January 2020. As you’d expect it went viral and saw millions around the world tuning in to see Paris get to grips with making a lasagna at home. If you somehow missed the video, it’s actually a little boring (sorry Paris), but her new series with Netflix is set to be a rather entertaining watch as she enlists the help of her celeb friends.
Sadly there’s no mention of who will be helping Paris learn the ins and outs of her new domesticated life, but some news outlets have said that Nicky, Paris’s sister, might make a sneaky appearance.
Her YouTube video saw Paris express how much she liked cooking but she’s obviously not known for being a chef. So the series will see her take on new skills, from learning to sauté to chopping up like a pro.
Pro chef or not, you’ll find us tuning in to see what Paris is cooking up on August 4th.
Cooking With Paris arrives on Netflix 4th August 2021
