British-born Indian cookery writer and broadcaster Vicky Bhogal and Bluebird’s Executive Chef, Simon Gregory, are celebrating Diwali with a four-course feast. As well as a lavish banquet, the evening will feature a demonstration of treats from Vicky’s cult cookery book, Cooking Like Mummyji, and a Q&A with her and Simon. After cocktails on arrival, guests can watch a cookery demonstration by Vicky, when the person with the best Diwali outfit will win a signed copy of Cooking Like Mummyji. BBQ skewers of tandoori chicken, prawns and spiced paneer will start the meal, followed by starters like aloo tikki and spinach and aubergine pakora. Diners can then share larger dishes such as grilled lamb chops and coconut fish dream, served with the likes of rustic dhal and saffron, almond and cracked black pepper rice.
