Shoreditch gets Bavarian with ‘Anti-Oktoberfest’

The Last Days of Shoreditch, the East End’s favourite street-food market, is hosting its very own Oktoberfest this Autumn. Never one to follow the rules, Shoreditch’s take on the Bavarian bier fueled celebration has been branded the ‘Anti-Oktoberfest’. Replacing the traditional bench-bound beer sipping is a line up of Germany’s finest alternative culture: German break-dancers, Hasselhoff karaoke and the ultimate Bratwurst eating challenges. Running 29th September – 7th October, Last Days of Shoreditch have pulled out all the stops with immersive alpine décor and the best of Bavarian street food. With something for everyone, there will also be a live Oompah band to cater to the traditionalists – although it will be playing hits deemed suitable for Shoreditch Oktoberfest – your guess is as good as ours!
