A Fish Out of Water…and into my Mouth

As sushi restaurants go K10 is as trendy and efficient as they come, situated in Appold Street it’s a stone’s throw from the slightly less appetising Gherkin. It’s the second venture for K10 with their first endeavour being a successful restaurant merely 10 minutes away in Copthall Avenue.

The restaurant has a conveyor belt winding in and out of the dining space with a shelf around it for eating, customers sit on high stools with fellow diners. The belt slowly whirs round different pieces of made up sushi including individual roll sets with a starting price of £2.95 that goes up to £7.50. The menu offers such treats as Salmon Sashimi, Beef Carpaccio and Handbook favourite Sunomono Salad. Guests can order hot dishes like Vegetable tempura, Chicken or Vegetable gyoza and delicious Chili squid if the chilled food doesn’t quite cut it. Although there is an abundance of delicious fish favoured options, don’t let that deter our veggie friends as K10 offers plenty of vegetarian options like Stir fried vegetables, a Vegetarian sushi platter and the classic Miso soup.

Although designed for a quick lunch if you have time to stick around for a pudding the Coconut & Passion Fruit Mousse is an absolutely must! It has the creamy texture of pane cote and just melts away on the tongue as does the Green Tea Créme.
