Steeped in history, the Tower of London, is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks and is home to Crown Jewels. And now there is something else very special about it too, Moving Venue is now one of the approved caterers for bespoke and corporate events. The Handbook were lucky enough to go down and have a private viewing of the Crown Jewels before being able to try ‘blinis, bellinis and espresso martinis’ courtesy of Moving Venue. The jewel in the crown, excuse the pun, had to be the revolving bar (very dangerous for self discipline) where the bellinis and blinis were being served. There were six bellinis to try including a cassis bellini which was served with the prettiest blini we had seen for a long time, goat’s cheese topped with a crystallised violet, our other favourite had to be the raspberry bellini with a chocolate blini. Guests were also able to sample small bowls such as smoked haddock served with wilted spinach, tomato fondue, quail’s egg, hollandaise and chive cream and canapés including smoked salmon mousse wrapped in smoked salmon. So next time you are planning an event, why not look to the Tower of London as the place to hold it? Its brilliant history, atmosphere and character makes it much more of a talking point than another modern meeting space and as for the caterers? Moving Venue is the answer.
Moving Venue are also available to cater at other Historic Royal Palaces including Hampton Court Palace and Banqueting House
