Winter is the perfect time to really appreciate a great Sunday roast which is why we will be heading to Portobello House, which has recently launched a quintessentially British Sunday lunch menu. Think roast pork belly with crackling to die for, roast chicken, tender sirloin of beef all with goose fat roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, lashings of gravy, parsnips, curly kale and carrots.But it isn't just traditional roasts, Head Chef Jan Ostle has also created delicious dishes such as Goat's cheese risotto with truffle and lighter European starters, like Artichoke soup. No Sunday lunch is complete without pudding which is why there are comforting classics such as Bread and butter pudding and Blackberry and apple crumble to indulge in. To celebrate the launch of this new menu, throughout November Bloody Marys can be ordered at half price, £4, at The Percy Bar prior to eating Sunday lunch.
Launched in September, Portobello House, Bistro with rooms is quickly becoming a firm favourite in Notting Hill and it seems like this Sunday lunch could be too.
