Spread A Little Joy With These Mother’s Day Deliveries

Just like many – if not, all – annual holidays, Mother’s Day this year will be spent at home, in lockdown. But all is not lost, there are several ways you can still spread a little joy from afar, from letterbox bakes to ordering in a special gift for your favourite lady. If you’re still on the hunt for Mother’s Day options, let us introduce you to the foodie deliveries. 

While London’s hospitality scene remains closed, many are offering great Mother’s Day delivery options for the foodies out there, from Sunday roasts to foodie hampers. Here’s what to order for Mother’s Day.

Pied à Terre 

Treat the woman who deserves all of the Michelin stars in the world to a gift from one of London’s longest-standing Michelin-starred restaurants, Pied à Terre’s Mothering Sunday hamper. 

Nuzzled inside the hamper, you’ll find the finest ingredients including Gillimard Pink Champagne, Vacherin Mont D’or, Miller Damsel crackers, and homemade chocolate and Cointreau truffles (these sound delicious!). There’s also a homemade scented candle and pretty amaryllis bulb which Ma can plant for a summer bloom.

Drake & Morgan

If you’re quarantining with your parents or you have younger siblings that are, treat your Mum this Mother’s Day to a roasting sensation from Drake & Morgan. Their Mother’s Day package comes complete with a bottle of Laurent-Perrier fizz, plus you can add on a beautiful bouquet from Ricky Paul Flowers too to really spoil mum rotten. 

Start off simple with a classic prawn cocktail, before diving into the whole roast free range British chicken with lemon and herb butter, and all of the trimmings. There’s a delicious salted caramel and milk chocolate cheesecake with caramel sauce for pud. Yum.

Simon Rogan 

With options for one or two individuals, Simon Rogan’s Mother’s Day three-course meal is a really spoil your Ma rotten kind of experience. There are two options to choose from but we love the menu that’s filled with a salad of smoked beetroot, whipped curds, shallot and linseed, before heading onto an aged short rib of beef, creamed celeriac and bone marrow. The meal is then finished off with a muscovado sponge topped with lashings of caramel sauce seasoned with ‘Our Miso’ Granny Smith apple. 

Add on flowers from the Real Flower Company and your mum will be totally spoilt on her special day. 

The Wolseley 

Start off your mum’s special day with a breakfast in bed fit for a queen. The Wolseley has launched a breakfast in bed box, equipped with everything you need to really spoil her, including Severn & Wye smoked salmon, caviar, Cotswold Legbar blue eggs, freshly squeezed orange juice and lots more. 

Though if you aren’t quarantining together, she might have to make this box herself but it’ll still be oh, so worth it.

Perfect for surprising your mum with or celebrating together if she’s lucky enough to be in your social bubble.

Ormer 

Let your Ma feast like the true queen she is with Ormer’s Mother’s Day banquet box. Created by Executive Chef and Great British finalist Kerth Gumbs, the feasting box comes complete with everything you need to truly celebrate the special day. 

Start your meal with their signature home-cured Scottish salmon, mung beans, smoked mayo and semi dried tomatoes with Ponzu dressing, before making your way to the platter of corn-fed roast chicken with mashed potatoes, tenderstem broccoli, coleslaw, roasted garlic and herb focaccia and gravy. The meal will be finished off with Mum’s favourite, chocolate brownie with salted caramel popcorn and Chantilly. Plus a little treat from East India Company, Perfect for surprising your mum with or celebrating together if she’s lucky enough to be in your social bubble.

Mortimer House Kitchen

Fit for two, Mortimer House Kitchen has created a real Sunday feasting experience especially for Mother’s Day. 

Slotted inside, expect Elderflower Collins, Black Lines Drinks alongside Bresoala with Robiola Rocchetta and homemade chilli jam; a saddle of lamb stuffed with apricots and spinach, Parmegiano and thyme layered confit potatoes, chargrilled asparagus, fresh mint sauce and lamb jus. For dessert, mum will want to leave room for the salted caramel tart with dark chocolate, Greek yoghurt and vanilla.

HIDE

The man making it his mission to bring fine dining to Londoners homes, Ollie Dabbous has teamed up with luxury French tea emporium, Mariage Frères to offer an irresistible three-course meal to celebrate mum at home. 

The seafood extravaganza begins with Orkney scallops with crushed peas and mint, followed by barbecued lobster and wild garlic butter. And then mum can finish off her meal with perfect  éclairs, the Milky blue oolong, cherry blossom, and jasmine pearls.

Available from 12-9.30pm, Thursday 11th – Sunday 14th March for £75 per head.

Ladurée

Flowers and sweet treats go hand in hand come Mother’s Day, and where better to get your fix than Ladurée at Burlington Arcade? The macaron specialists have teamed up with Fiona Fleur, the event and floral design florists, to create a truly special Mother’s Day experience. 

Choose between fresh or dried flowers, filled with scented roses, lisianthus and a mix ot other soft caramel, raspberry and toffee tones. Pair it alongside one of Ladurée’s special macaron gift boxes and you’ll certainly be in mum’s good books.

The Chesterfield Mayfair

Nobu London Old Park Lane

Whether you’re celebrating at home as a family this year, or looking for the perfect treat to send to mum, Nobu London’s Mother’s Day menu fits all occasions. The special omakase set menu features favourites from the Nobu menu, including hand-crafted sushi rolls, Black Cod Miso and a dreamy dessert.

The Rubens at the Palace

Treat Mum with a special royal-worthy experience from The Rubens at the Palace. They are hosting an interactive afternoon tea masterclass hosted live from The Rubens’ Palace Lounge by Dan Silva, CEO of the hotel’s preferred tea supplier, PMD.

An afternoon tea delivery will be sent to your door with treats including truffle mayonnaise and Scottish smoked salmon sandwiches, cinnamon and apple macarons, and rhubarb and orange custard cakes.
