Hospitality may feel under siege right now, but this is an industry that has survived thousands of years and just keeps marching on.
And key to that is a steady flow of brand new hotels for us to ogle, to fantasise about or just to book right away. From Bristol to the Bahamas and Manchester to the Maldives there are new openings that will have you browsing swimsuits and ordering in the Factor 50 (okay, less so for Manchester).

&Beyond Grumeti Serengeti River Lodge, Tanzania
Expected in June 2022, &Beyond’s reimagined Serengeti lodge has been completely transformed.
The Tanzania hotel sits on the banks of a tributary of Africa’s Grumeti River and consists of 10 large suites.
The tents come with large bath and additional plunge pool. An interactive kitchen means that guests can mingle with the chefs as they plan their daily menus.

The Bvlgari empire heads to the Japan for its first opening in the country.
Slated to open late 2022 Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo will occupy floors 39 to 45 (the top seven) of this brand new tower, perfectly located close to the Imperial Palace, Tokyo Station, the financial district and popular shopping areas of Nihombashi and Ginza.

With typical Scandinavian understatement, this restored 1930s landmark is due to open in September 2022.
Located in Frogner, in Oslo’s historic West End, the hotel will celebrate Norwegian design, combining form and function as the city’s first hotel in an original Art Deco building (which is also Norway’s biggest ever preservation project), bringing the former headquarters of the city’s electrical company back to life.
