GIVING BACK TO THE HEROES HELPING DURING COVID-19
During these unprecedented times, here at The Handbook we wanted to give something back. Lockdown has been tough on many of us, from doctors and nurses on the frontline to NHS workers across the board, supermarket workers to delivery drivers keeping the country going and members of the community showing acts of kindness for friends, loved ones, neighbours and in many cases, complete strangers.
We want to honour those heroes with your help.
Today we launch our Lockdown Heroes campaign and have teamed up with some of London’s top restaurants, including Claridge’s, Sky Garden, Bob Bob Ricard, Brown’s Hotel and Frog by Adam Handling to offer our heroes an all-expenses paid, five-star dinner for two once the crisis is over.
It’s a small gesture but we wanted to say thank you for all that you’re doing.
Who’s involved? We have many of London’s top restaurants getting involved, but here’s a teaser of what to expect…
The Mayfair institution are giving one hero an all expenses paid dinner for two in their famous Foyer & Reading Room. The five-star hotel holds that certain London magic it takes a century to achieve and we couldn’t think of a place you’ll be treated better than iconic Claridge’s.
The lucky winner will receive a three-course dinner for two, with champagne on arrival and wine chosen by the restaurants sommelier.
Known for their decadently dangerous ‘press for champagne’ button at each table, Bob Bob Ricard guarantees a good night out, from the eclectic interiors to the luxurious menu.
The Soho restaurant are offering one hero a three-course dinner for two, plus Champagne and caviar.
The ex-Masterchef contestant, Adam Handling, has gone on to become one of London’s most creative and innovative chefs and his Covent Garden tasting menu is without a doubt one of the best foodie experiences you’ll find in the capital.
One of our heroes will be treated to the tasting menu with matched wines at Adam’s Frog by Adam Handling Covent Garden restaurant. We were lucky enough to try out the menu pre-lockdown and you will not be disappointed.
What better way to see London than 35 floors up in the iconic Walkie Talkie tower? There you will find Sky Garden, a beautiful botanical garden suspended in the sky and the Darwin Brasserie with modern, British cuisines and the best views of London.
The restaurant are kindly offering a three-course dinner for two plus a bottle of wine chosen by the sommelier.
