If you’re desperately missing your weekly sweat sessions, there are plenty of London gyms and studios taking their classes online.

From barre to yoga, strength training to some of the capital’s most hardcore classes, be sure to get your indoor-phines going with these virtual sessions.


Barrecore have had online, on-demand workouts available for ages but they’ve really come into their own during lockdown. If you fancy getting your Margot Fonteyn on, sign up for £25 to have endless access to their ballet-inspired sessions.

Classes include the likes of Thighs and Seat, Arms and Abs and Stretch & Restore.

Ideal for: Those who fancy strengthening and lengthening their bodies – Barrecore is the go-to class of supermodels such as Claudia Schiffer, Jourdan Dunn and Poppy Delevingne.


Often considered one of London’s toughest workouts, Barry’s have taken things online launching their Barry’s At Home sessions through Instagram Live.

There’s everything from early morning classes to lunchtime band workouts and early evening sessions to end your day, all with a rota of Barry’s famous instructors.

Ideal for: Hardcores who want to get their sweat on in the living room.

Core Collective

There are a couple of options with Core Collection; first up, head to their Instagram page for quick 15-minute workouts that work specific areas or, if you’re after a bit more of a workout structure to your week, invest in their CCTV package, which comes with a host of slick on-demand workouts to do in your living room, falling under six categories; Sweat, Train, Strength, Pilates, Yoga, Extras.

Varying from five to 45 minutes, there’s something for everyone that can fit into all schedules.

Subscriptions cost £12.99 per month or £9.99 per month when you pay annually. Plus, you can sign up for a free seven day trial first.

Ideal for: Those after something a little more polished than your usual Instagram TV session.

London’s hippest gym has taken things online with a choice of Live or On-Demand services. All your favourite instructors are involved from Corinne’s Cardio Killer to Liam’s Boxcon and Yin Yoga with Hannah.

BLOK also have daily Instagram Live workouts with a jam-packed schedule going up each day.

Ideal for: A good balance of yoga, dance, boxing and strength.


Choose to Sweat, Party or Sculpt from home with Frame’s online 45-minute classes. The upbeat, high-tempo classes cover all fitness basis from Dynamic Stretch sessions to Mat Pilates, 80’s Aerobics and even a Lizzo Music Video session.

Ideal for: Getting your fix of sweet INDOORphins with classes that are a heap load of fun.

If you’re missing your early morning KOBOX classes like the rest of the Insta community, the team are taking them online at 10am.

The 50-minute sessions are guaranteed to make you sweat, get those endorphins going and hone your muscles.

Ideal for: Letting out some pent-up lockdown frustration in your living room.

Exhale Pilates

If you’re after something a little less high tempo than boxing, Exhale Pilates are a studio teaching the classic methods of Pilates.

Recommend by the likes of GQ and Vogue, the studio classes are hugely popular, but you can take part during lockdown in your own home with their £10 a pop online sessions. There’s everything from beginners to intermediate and even family classes on Sundays.

Ideal for: Getting the whole family involved if you’re sick of Joe Wicks’ P.E. class.


You might not be able to get to a spin class for a while, unless you’re the lucky owner of a Peloton, but Psycle studio have a rota of three-a-day classes that span everything from yoga to barre to strength.

Dalston-based Rumble came onto the scene at the worst time, only opening earlier this year, but they’re taking lockdown in their stride with a wealth of online classes that have been hugely popular, from Barre to Ab Reshape and Boxing.

To compliment the virtual classes Rumble are also hosting Lunchtime Refocus & Refuel Guided Meditation Sessions to increase mental wellbeing at a time when we all need it most.

London’s first carbon neutral gym will also be planting a tree for every person that takes part in the virtual classes, to help offset their carbon footprint.
