As the world’s most iconic tennis tournament returns to the grassy courts of Wimbledon this weekend, we’ve been inspired to handpick our favourite Wimbledon whites – any excuse for a bit of new season fashion. So whether you’re lucky enough to have Centre Court tickets or are watching from one of the city’s big screens, scroll on for 24 outfit ideas that will have you decked out in head-to-toe Wimbledon whites.

There’s something about Wimbledon that feels more dressed up than other sporting events. Maybe it’s the champagne and copious amounts of strawberries and cream, the A-list guest list or the guarantee of spotting Wills and Kate in the crowd. Whatever it is, in addition to the world-class sportspeople taking to the courts, we’re also very much here for the fashion.

A white dress is a no-brainer at the event and this season there are plenty to invest in. Piece of White is a brand very much at the top of our wish list, with fluid billowing linen fabrics worked into dynamic shapes and detailed with OTT bows and statement sleeves. Then there’s NY-based label Sea – the perfect brand if you want to do dressed up boho thanks to pretty midi dresses and smocked bodices. Or Kika Vargas’s little white mini. It’s an investment for sure at over £500, but the oversized Peter Pan collar and whimsical scalloped edges are just a dream.

Whether you’re off to Wimbledon or not, nothing feels more ‘high-summer’ than pretty white pieces hanging in your wardrobe and they work just as well for garden parties, al fresco dinner parties and summer christenings – just avoid someone else’s wedding!

Whilst Turkish brand Piece of White might be top of our investment wish list when it comes to little white dresses, Zara have some great high street options this season, from billowy smock dresses to boho embroidered pieces.
