It’s officially December, and that can only mean one thing- ugly Christmas jumper season. From garish bright colours to layers of sequins, it can be near impossible to find a jumper you genuinely like, and that doesn’t make people squint when you walk into the Christmas party.
We’ve found the best way to get a chic Christmas look is to go for either a classic black and white number, or if you’d rather a pop of colour, to keep it minimal. A festive red knit is always a winner, or any heavy jumpers with a fair-isle pattern.
High street stores like Zara and H&M are all getting on board with chunkier, cooler takes on the traditional xmas knit. If a graphic jumper isn’t your style, opt for something more subtle like a cream cardigan with some embellishment- we love & Other Stories’ Rose Embroidery Knit Cardigan.

Seen something you fancy? Next Friday 10th December is Christmas Jumper Day, when schools and workplaces all across the country take part and raise money for Save The Children. It’s a great excuse to get your flashy festive garb on and take part in a really worthwhile cause.
