The Weekend Edit: Our Favourite Coachella Looks So Far
Let’s face it, no one goes to Coachella for the music. It’s all about the extra ‘fits and Insta shot in front of the famous ferris wheel. The event has kicked off festival season in style, deep in the balmy Colorado desert, with one week already down and another line-up taking place this weekend. And as you’d expect, the looks have not disappointed so far.
From the Brit influencer working vintage band tees and short shorts to one of Insta’s most glamorous stars, here are some of our favourite looks from the weekend, how to create them and our edit of must-haves to shop if you have your own festival season planned.

Katie Impey, AKA The Mum Life Styled, has been killing it with her Coachella looks, taking on a more Isabel Marant boho vibe than the festival’s usual glitter and sequins. We love her first look of a Lynyrd Skynyrd vintage tee teamed with denim cut-offs, Western boots and a Lack of Color felt fedora. If you haven’t got a vintage band tee, check out Anine Bing’s slouchy, retro-looking T-shirts for the same vibe – nothing worse than wearing a band tee you’ve never actually listened to.
Whilst her second look – a pretty ruffled LOVESHACKFANCY dress – would work just as well for a sunny day in London as it would the LA sunshine. Pair with Isabel Marant boots (or a high street version) and plenty of arm candy.

Instagram superstar Julie Sariñana defines laidback LA cool and we’ve loved her festival looks for years. This Coachella, she’s teamed up with French label IRO to create an understated boho feel with muted tones, layers of herringbone print and some killer pointed toe boots. Recreate the look in full below.
On the other end of the spectrum, Kelsey White and Kaitlyn Carter go full colour blocking with one of this season’s hottest micro trends, the rainbow-hued shirt. Whether you go for bold fuchsia or a tangerine dream, pair with high-waist denim and mandatory festival boot.

There’s extra and then there is Leonie Hanne. Best-known for her Fashion Week looks, bold colour palette and show stopping evening wear, Leonie really brought the glamour to Coachella this year. From her 1970’s inspired orange and pink look to her desert glitter ball body jewellery, you can’t help but love the unfiltered extravagance of it all.

Finally, if a monochrome colour palette is more your thing, take style notes from Swedish model Elsa Hosk and model and fitness wear founder Jasmine Tookes. Elsa’s faded denim, oversized leather bomber and chunky loafers look would work just as well in the city as at Coachella. While Jasmine’s sweet crochet dress gives a modern take on ’60’s hippy chic.
