In partnership with Carnaby

Christmas is a time for eating and drinking, for shopping and parties. But normally not all at once. Until now. Carnaby’s Christmas party is coming early this year, and we’re clearing our diaries on Thursday 4th November to make sure we’re there.

Every year Carnaby is transformed into a wondrous world of Christmas whimsy, and this season will be no exception as the area will be blanketed with butterflies fluttering overhead. Over 600 butterflies, each brightly decorated in neon patterns, will flutter above shoppers, twinkling magically in a kaleidoscope and imbued with the insect’s powerful representations of life, spiritual rebirth, transformation, hope and life. While you shop, dine and drink, be immersed in colourful lights across the 14 streets of Carnaby.

And on Thursday, 4th November the butterflies will be observing a jamboree of colour, food, drink and retail therapy as most of the businesses in this iconic area offer shoppers special promotions or a 20% discount.

The Christmas shopping extravaganza, with over 100 shops taking part, will include Levi’s, Scotch & Soda, Nobody’s Child, ba&sh, Superga, Office, RS No.9 Carnaby, The Kooples and Paul Smith. From fashion and lifestyle retailers like Samsøe Samsøe, Queen The Greatest, Sweaty Betty and Replay alongside RÆBURN, MUJI and Aubin, to beauty brands Benefit, Too Faced, MAC, Pixi and the first worldwide mens makeup store War Paint for Men.

Head to the Newburgh Quarter for independent and one-off brands including, Annie’s Ibiza, Metal Morphosis, MÜHLE, Motley London, Soho Home, Barbour, The Great Frog, Skin Laundry and many more.

And this all sits alongside a smorgasbord of eating options...

And this all sits alongside a smorgasbord of eating options. The butterflies, illuminated by the panoply of sparkling festive lights, will flutter overhead as you wash down your meal at one of the many local bars, like Bar Crispin with its 150 strong wine list, 1940’s themed Cahoots, wine bar Antidote, blues bar Ain’t Nothin’ But and basement bar Disrepute.
