Why you need to check it out
Do you dye or heat style your hair? If the answer to either (or likely both) of those is “yes,” then your hair may be calling out for some much-need TLC. Pollution, overusing harsh products and even swimming can have a serious effect on the condition of hair. Thankfully, iconic hair care brand Umberto Giannini has come to the rescue with a new line that landed this week, which uses a powerful trio of ingredients – Natural Keratin Shield, Avocado Oil and Kale Extracts – to repair, strengthen and protect your tresses.
Not only is it a care package for your hair but its affordable and you can make the most of an amazing 30% off to celebrate the launch.
Tell us more…
Comprising three simple steps – there’s a shampoo and conditioner, which are both 97% natural, and a deep conditioning treatment – the range uses a unique hair health blend of Avocado, Kare and a Natural Keratin Shield.
It's best to treat damaged hair as soon as you spot it, as the longer you leave it, the weaker hair gets and the further it can split up the cuticle.
What does the powerful ingredient list do?
Avocado oil is packed with natural fatty acids and oils that help to moisturise, repair and strengthen the hair. It is also rich in vitamin A, B-5 and E which ensure the hair is deeply nourished, improving manageability and decreasing the risk of damage from brushing and heat styling.
While Kale is a rich source of protein and antioxidants to help protect against damage and improve hair’s strength. We’re well aware of the nutritious effects the two superfoods have when added to our diet, so it’s a no-brainer to add them into our beauty regime too.
And then there is the Natural Keratin Shield. This unique, hardworking complex is proven to strengthen and repair hair, improving elasticity, shine and reduce breakage, which is particularly great for naturally dry, curly, coily and frizzy hair types. Good news for those living in the city, too, as this ingredient’s anti-pollution technology protects hair from environmental aggressors.
How do you use the range?
The way to use the three-step range is a little different from what you might be used to as the deep conditioning treatment actually comes before you shampoo and condition, ensuring as much goodness and moisture is locked into the hair as possible. Its intense protein-rich ingredients deeply nourish and improve the elasticity of the hair and you really do feel and see the difference after just one use.

Before shampooing, smooth the deep conditioning treatment through the mid-lengths to ends of dampened hair. Cover hair with a hair wrap, towel or shower cap and leave to deeply nourish and repair for at least 20 minutes before rinsing. Follow with the shampoo and conditioner by massaging the shampoo into wet hair, focusing on the scalp for a thorough cleanse, then rinse through the ends. After shampooing, smooth the conditioner through the mid-lengths to ends of your hair before rinsing. Dry and style as usual. Easy.
Who would it work for?
The range is suitable for just about every hair type but those with noticeably frizzy, dry or damaged hair will really benefit. Anastasia Stylianou, Pro Hair Stylist & Umberto Giannini Ambassador explains that, “It’s best to treat damaged hair as soon as you spot it, as the longer you leave it, the weaker hair gets and the further it can split up the cuticle.” Adding, “The best way to spot signs of damage is to look at the ends of your hair to check if they are white, frazzled-looking, and if strands split into two.”
Not only did our hair feel and look much shinier, it felt stronger when running a brush through and altogether rejuvenated.
We’re also super impressed with Umberto Giannini’s dedication to sustainability and, impressively, the brand has been at the helm of vegan and cruelty-free beauty for over 30 years. As a certified B Corp business, the brand’s goal is to always source packaging from sustainable sources and these tubes are not only 100% recyclable but are also made from Sugarcane, a clever bioplastic made from the sugarcane plant. Plus, their ad campaigns are inclusive and feature women embracing their natural beauty and celebrating a more natural, undone look.
Oh, and did we mention it’s super affordable? With the shampoo and conditioner priced at £8.75 and the treatment at £10.25.
Wave goodbye to dry, brittle and lacklustre hair and here’s to your best hair yet.
