If there’s one person you probably wouldn’t expect to order fast food from, it’s Tinie Tempah. Yet the maker of hits like Pass Out and Written In The Stars has now launched a brand new food serviced called RAPS, which specialises in fried chicken.

The new brand has been set up in partnership with food delivery service Kitchen Ventures. You’ll be able to order from RAPS online via Kitchen Ventures’ website or Deliveroo, or alternatively you can visit the Raps pop up at the Willows On The Roof rooftop bar in Oxford Circus. The menu itself has been curated by Tinie along with the chef and YouTube star Big Has, with the two both wanting to bring their love of fast food in their upbringing to the brand.

The two both wanted to bring their love of fast food in their upbringing to the brand...

The current initial menu is mostly comprised of chicken wraps (or, “wRaps”) like Unruly with jerk fried chicken and homemade jerk sauce, The African Giant (Tinie’s personal favourite) which has buttermilk fried chicken, jollof salsa, buffalo sauce and blue cheese, and finally the Vegan JME wrap. There’s also Unknown T’s Buttermilk Brined Tenders and Peng Wings, alongside a selection of sauces like jerk bbq, pineapple hot sauce and Korean bbq.

The inspiration behind Tinie’s new Raps venture is his childhood, when he often visited and ate at the chicken shops of South East London after school, as well as from family dinners and the communal spirit of eating. The pandemic, and our general move toward ordering what we shop online meant that creating a delivery service alongside a physical pop up was a necessity.

If you’re looking for a new fried chicken place to try out, then the new Raps menu is available to order now, either through the Kitchen Ventures website or through Deliveroo. The new RAPS pop up meanwhile is available at Willows On The Roof above John Lewis in Oxford Street.
