In Partnership With Marks & Spencer

Looking for some stylish workout gear to help get you moving? Or a prompt to kick start your New Year health resolution? We have just the solution…

Last year Marks & Spencer launched their Goodmove collection to rapturous applause from industry insiders and sports fans alike, and the good news is it’s back for 2021. Only better. And with a bevy of new, beautifully and innovatively designed performance wear which is guaranteed to raise your heart rate before you’ve even taken a step on the treadmill.

Putting together the right active wear wardrobe without sacrificing style or comfort can be a challenge. Whether it’s a sports bra which actually supports, hip-hugging squat-proof leggings, or you’re simply wanting to enhance your look with some one piece wonder workers – finding the right clothes is a key part of the motivation process.

That’s where Marks & Spencer’s Goodmove collection comes in. The womenswear separates include a whole range of pulse-quickeningly bold new prints – we’re particularly keen on the Go Train Printed Leggings (featured below) which have a neon design smattered across them. But there are also joggers perfect for lounging, and base layers which will act like a second skin. The fleeces and sweaters lend themselves to activities like hiking, as well as ticking all the boxes for post-class leisure and loungewear. And from running jackets and gilets, to waterproof parkas, and quilted down jackets – there is also a fashionable and functional outerwear option for every activity imaginable.

Innovation and technology lie at the core of the collection with the outwear and base layers designed to work in pretty much all weather conditions. We’re talking about fabrics which help regulate your temperature while offering protection from the elements. The kind of breathable and moisture wicking pieces which are ideal for indoor or outdoor pursuits. These are pieces you can throw on in the morning with ease, and which will also look effortlessly stylish when you’re running out for that absolutely essential latte.

Always aware of their environmental impact and social conscience the range includes pieces made out of recycled polyester and sustainably sourced cotton. There are trainers which have been created using a recycled fabric called Cordura – which is known for its windproof and waterproof qualities – as well as a sustainably sourced Tencel trainer with a biodegradable upper, which is super lightweight allowing you greater and lighter movement.

As for the men’s range, let’s just call it the ultimate fit kit. There is a strong focus on versatile performance pieces and leisurewear, reflecting the more relaxed modern way of living we have all adopted of late.

There’s plenty of tech in there too though. Innovative fabrics that maximise comfort and are extra breathable, details like reflective trims for visibility and flat seams to streamline, and even some state of the art Stormwear technology ensuring a completely weatherproofed look.

The pieces all take on that classically masculine palette of grey, black and navy, punctuated by neon accents. This season Marks & Spencer have also upped their footwear game with classic black trainers – complete with sock-like knitted uppers – and stylish walking boots in tan and black. All, of course, underpinned by sustainability.

For the slightly smaller budding sports enthusiasts out there, the collection of children’s pieces will no doubt appeal.

Available for ages 6 through to 14, they include plenty of bright colours and bold prints. From park jaunts and football to dance and gymnastics, they too can be considerably styled while having a little fun with their fitness.
