1 Lombard Street, London, EC3V 9AA, United Kingdom

Venues For Hire, Aldgate

  • Capacity: 400

At 1 Lombard Street, a restaurant and bar in the City of London, there is a choice of areas for hosting a variety of events. These include meetings and conferences, press launches, private dining, cocktail receptions, wedding receptions, bar-batmitzvahs, product launches and exclusive parties. A private room adjacent to the wine cellar – the Private Dining Room – can also be used for meetings, cocktail parties, presentations, breakfasts, lunches and dinners.

1 Lombard Street is also a magnificent space for exclusive events: a host of both private and corporate clients choose the venue for their parties at the weekends, where they are able to transform the setting for either a wild themed party or a formal sit-down dinner. Glamorous events at the venue in the past have included a superb Nikki Haslam birthday bash and milliner Cozmo Jenks’ birthday party; whilst Louis Vuitton, Nick Rhodes, the BBC, Ralph Lauren and Oswald Boateng have also held various parties there.

Alternatively, if you wish to experience the buzz of the brasserie you may section off an area of the bar where you are able to host up to 50-60 guests, or have a group table in the main brasserie itself for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

1776 Restaurant

1776 Restaurant is an elegant 40-cover dining room, located behind 1 Lombard Street, with its own entrance from Mansion House Place. The restaurant offers diners the choice of ordering from the a-la-carte menu or the silver service roast meat trolley, which is carefully carved at your table. The impressive dessert trolley changes daily.  The a-la-carte menu has European influences, with dishes including: Asparagus & duck egg salad and roasted Cote de Veau with ceps.

Guests can also enjoy the Degustation Menu from 6pm, which includes 6 courses and a glass of Prosecco.

The interior is inviting and elegant, drawing on the history of the building. Large windows flood the restaurant with natural light, and warm wooden floors and banquette seating give it a welcoming feeling with understated luxury.
