Recognised as one of London’s most iconic landmarks, Burlington Arcade provides a bespoke retail experience within its 202 year old building. The unique historical monument is home to a portfolio of luxury brands of old and new combining heritage luxury with cool emerging brands which share a passion for craftsmanship. Retailers include: Bell & Ross, Church’s, Crockett & Jones, Globe-Trotter, Kwanpen and Ladurée, who have just launched a new breakfast at the entrance of the Arcade. Other boutiques include Manolo Blahnik – who now offer takeaway cocktails from their new bar – as well as Lalique, N.Peal, Roja Parfums, Strathberry, Vilebrequin, and sought after British bespoke sneaker and apparel specialist Kick Game.
Situated in the heart of Mayfair and referred to as the ‘Jewel in Mayfair,’ Burlington Arcade is a destination for Vintage Watches and Jewellery. The Vintage Watch Company has been trading for 25 years, and has the largest collection of pre-owned Rolex watches in the world. Azza Fahmy, Ciro, David Duggan, Hancock’s, Michael Rose Jewellers, Richard Ogden and Susannah Lovis are all independent jewellers with a combined presence of over a hundred years, one of a kind brands only found in Burlington Arcade. Newer additions include Mevaris, Amrapali and Diamond Watches London.
Another experiential feature that brings the Arcade to life is the Beadles. Lord Cavendish’s regiment, the 10th Hussars, recruited the Beadles to safeguard the Arcade. Welcoming four million visitors a year, the Beadles continue to wear Regency inspired uniforms, and are the oldest and smallest police force in the country. There are rules imposed by the original Beadles still in place today, including the banning of singing and whistling. Sir Paul McCartney and Jayden from East London, are the only two currently exempt from the ban on whistling.
The boutiques at Burlington Arcade specialise in exclusive and rare items which sets it apart from the London retail landscape. It is also one of the few shopping destinations which is dog friendly.
