INCA shares the same address as the iconic London Palladium. An interesting story about the Palladium is from the Second World War.
The theatre above INCA was hit by an unexploded German parachute mine in 1941. The device had fallen through the roof, becoming lodged over the stage. A Royal Navy bomb disposal team was sent to deal with the situation. Rather disconcertingly, the fuse bomb began ticking as soon as it was touched by the team. This caused a rapid evacuation of the immediate area, but the mine did not detonate. Perhaps, all of the History of its iconic venue would have disappeared on that day, had the bomb exploded.
