About Royal Horseguards Hotel and One Whitehall Place
The Royal Horseguards Hotel and One Whitehall Place is a Grade I listed building which has existed for over a century and is, in itself, a piece of British heritage. The 5 star hotel offers breath-taking views across the River Thames and features a chic combination of contemporary with classic. The hotel includes free Wi-Fi, fully refurbished Victorian interior, award-winning dining and Afternoon Tea as well as lavish river-view suites. The Royal Horseguards was the headquarters for the Secret Service throughout World War One. This hotel has an intriguing past and is an interesting and stylish venue.
One Whitehall Place, adjacent to The Royal Horseguards, was originally designed and built by Alfred Waterhouse for William Gladstone and members of the Liberal party during the late 1800’s. One Whitehall Place still maintains its original architectural splendour, boasting tall lofty ceilings, glorious faience tiling and intricate plasterwork, and the largest unsupported marble staircase in Europe that spirals through three storeys. One Whitehall Place is a stunning Grade I listed central London venue for events accommodating 30 to 750 people, some of its 8 function rooms also enjoy spectacular views over Whitehall Gardens, the London Eye and River Thames. One Whitehall Place truly does make the ideal location for high profile events; from New Years Eve parties overlooking the midnight fireworks from the London Eye, high society dinners, fashion shows, awards events, weddings, dinner parties, film launches, conferences, receptions and after-parties; to name just a few!
