About The Fishmongers’ Company

The Fishmongers’ Company is one of the most ancient and eminent of London’s City Livery Companies with a long and prestigious history; one of the “Great Twelve”, the Company was granted its first royal charter in 1272.

Situated on the banks of the River Thames, our 19th century Livery Hall is a fantastic example of the Greek Revival style, inspired by antiquity and boasting an elegant river façade as one of its key features. The Banqueting Hall, the most impressive of our suite of rooms, can be used for all types of events, from lunches and dinner to concerts and cocktail parties.

As well as a unique history and rich architectural heritage, the Fishmongers’ Company has in its possession many valuable artefacts and paintings, the most famous of these is the portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II, commissioned in 1953 and painted by Pietro Annigoni.

At Fishmongers’, we pride ourselves on the highest standard of both food and service provided by our in-house team, lead by our Award-winning Executive Head Chef Stephen Pini.
