It’s the last full weekend of February (one week until payday, yay!) so expect to be jumping into overly pink ball pits, sipping on Margarita’s for National Margarita Day and shaking your feathers in honour of Rio Carnival. Well, that’s exactly what you’ll find us doing anyway!
Here’s to one hell of a weekend, my friends.
Is there anything more satisfying than curating the perfect Insta snap? Maybe, but it sure plays a part in your weekend regime. This weekend, let the magic truly commence as you strike a pose at the Selfie Factory pop-up at The O2. From pretty in pink ball pits to cash vaults, up your Insta game and see the likes rolling in. Expect pink e-v-e-r-y-thing.

What does it mean to be masculine? Is it a man head to toe in a tuxedo, a male with protruding muscles busting it out at the gym, or something even more socially constructed?
In an era of #MeToo, the question of masculinity has come into focus more prominently, from toxicity to fragility portrayed in the media today. Masculinities: Liberation Through Photography explores over 50 artists from across the world and the contradictory representations of masculinity portrayed from the 1960s to today, including hyper masculinity, queer identity and female perceptions of men.
WHEN: 20TH FEBRUARY – 17TH MAY 2020
WHERE: BARBICAN ART GALLERY, SILK STREET, BARBICAN, EC2Y 8DS
Masks at the ready as you venture over to The Coral Room to celebrate the Italian Carnevale, a tradition that’s been honoured in Italy since the 12th Century. Channeling the dazzling masks and vibrance of the festival, The Coral Room’s expert mixologists have worked their magic to create five bespoke Italicus aperitivo cocktails. We can’t wait to get our hands on The Rugantino, it’s essentially a Negroni but utilising a lower ABV.
Happy National Margarita Day! As if you needed any more of an excuse to spend your weekend enjoying your favourite cocktail with your girls, there’s now a day dedicated to the all important classic, the Margarita. We’ve popped on our drinking, I mean, thinking caps on and rounded up the best spots in London for the cheeky tipple.
Another one for the fashion fanatics. Created by sisters Dee and Begum Ozturk, HAREM London is a contemporary clothing brand, utilising high-quality fabrics and traditional Turkish methods and techniques. This February HAREM London joins ten other different sustainable London-based brands for an exclusive pop-up.

Unless you’re lucky enough to have nabbed yourself a weekend ticket to Rio, you won’t be able to celebrate the real deal Carnival. But, there’s a few spots across London that’ll see you shaking your tail feathers in true carnival style this weekend.
By now you’re probably struggling to keep the kiddies entertained for longer than an hour. Hang on in there, there’s only a few days left! If you’re in need of a little helping hand, we’ve rounded up the very best that London has to offer this February half term.
From channeling your inner pirate at Cutty Sark, getting up close and personal with Vincent Van Gogh to whipping out your wand at the Warner Bros Studio, here’s everything you should be doing this half term.
Roll your hair, slip into your favourite pencil skirt and pen on your finest red lipstick because you’re about to be thrusted back to 1950s Salford and the gritty working class struggles after the war. The story follows Jo, a troubled teenager who dates a sailor-at-sea named Jimmie and asks for her hand in marriage. Jo’s slightly unreliable mother runs off with a car salesman and Jo’s best friend falls into the parenting role as she surprisingly falls pregnant. Expect gritty depictions and strained love.
WHEN: RUNNING UNTIL SATURDAY 29TH FEBRUARY
WHERE: TRAFALGAR STUDIOS, 14 WHITEHALL, TRAFALGAR SQUARE, SW1A 2DY
Let the games be-gin as you explore the multi-sensory moonlit experience. Harvey Nichols has partnered up with Hendrick’s Gin to transform their fifth floor into one twinkling nighttime garden, bursting with botanical focused cocktails of course.

WHERE: HARVEY NICOLS, 109-125 KNIGHTSBRIDGE, BELGRAVIA, SW1X 7RJ
We love Padella. We love biting into their reels of pasta, rich creamy sauces and entering a carb overload, and much to our delight, Padella has opened up a brand new branch in Shoreditch! Known across the city for boasting London’s longest queues, the fresh pasta restaurant is both effortlessly delicious and incredibly affordable. Expect to be standing for a long ol’ time but it’ll be seriously worth it.

We’re always wondering what life is like on Mars. Is there another human-like species awaiting our discovery somewhere on the planet? Well, if you’re intrigued about heading over to Mars yourself but don’t quite have the buck or commitment for it, The Design Museum’s Moving to Mars exhibition lets you travel through space without leaving your beloved London. It’s really rather fascinating.
