The Handbook is a fast growing online magazine, and we’re looking for someone to join our expanding and dynamic team to sell, sell, sell! Officially rated 65% better looking, 20% more charming and 5-6% funnier than our competitors, you’ll be joining a winning team. Throughout the pandemic we continued to grow rapidly, in terms of what we write (from food, drink and travel to fashion and beauty) and commercially too, scoring our best financial year ever in 2020! So now we want to consolidate that success by hiring a ‘target-driven individual’ (i.e. you or the mate you forward this to) to join us as Partnerships Manager, bringing more wonderful hotel, restaurant, clubs and bar clients into The Handbook family.

The role will involve:

  • 2+ years experience in online media sales preferable
  • Existing contacts in PR agencies, media agencies and London venues
  • A strong and provable track record of sales-based results
  • Highly motivated and entrepreneurial self-starter
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Highly confident and personable
  • Thrives in a cold-calling, target-based role
  • Based in our Wandsworth office

Core responsibilities include:

  • Finding new commercial venue partnerships
  • Analysing the London landscape to scope out proactive opportunities, e.g. new openings/chain expansions
  • Liaise with the editorial and social media teams to ensure each partnership receives effective ongoing coverage
  • Manage client relationships to ensure they are satisfied with The Handbook’s coverage, with the eventual goal of renewing the partnership
  • Consistently exceed set sales targets
