In partnership with West End Musical Productions
There’s nothing as festive as a night at the theatre. The streets lit up with cheery fairy lights and sparkling reindeer, a warm mulled wine by the theatre’s bar, and plentiful festive show tunes to sing along to. However, which show do you choose? The drama of Frozen? The magic of Wicked? Or perhaps a good old knees-up with Mary Poppins?
We’ve just made your life a whole lot easier. Why not choose a performance that has all your favourite show tunes rolled into one and some Christmas classics too? That’s the idea for the grand performance of the West End Musical Christmas. The biggest stars from London’s West End are coming together to give us an all-singing all-dancing night of spectacular show tunes and your favourite festive songs – for two nights only.
Who is in the show?
Don’t you mean who isn’t in the show? From The Sound of Music to The Lion King, theatre stars hailing from the biggest West End and Broadway blockbusters will be there. This includes John Owen-Jones, Michael Xavier, Emma Hatton (known for her role as the iconic Elphaba in Wicked), Oliver Ormson (who is currently starring as Prince Hans in Frozen), Jodie Steele (who is Heather Chandler in Heathers), Obioma Ugoala (who is Kristoff in Frozen), and Idriss Kargbo.
The whole thing will be presented by the talented host Shanay Holmes (who is in the new Bob Marley musical Get Up, Stand Up) who also co-produces the show with Chris Steward.
That’s a whole lotta talent for one show. Am I right? (Yes, The Handbook, yes, you are).
The show will be running for just two nights, and guess what, one of the nights is already sold out!

Where is it?
In London’s West End, of course. Find yourself a comfy seat at the Lyric Theatre on the famous Shaftesbury Avenue. Soak up the historic setting that has seen the likes of Sir Ian McKellen, John Malkovich and Dame Judi Dench tread the boards. While you’re there, you may as well find time to relax with a drink by the bar before the show starts.

What will they be singing?
There won’t just be singing. There will be dancing, lights, a live band and serious Christmas feels. While the actual songs are still hush hush, all you need to know is that you’re in good hands. The show is brought to you by the producers of West End Musical Brunch, London’s famous musical theatre-themed bottomless brunch party and West End Musical Drive In, which kept everyone going during the pandemic.
