My London: Vivek Singh’s Favourite Restaurants

When it comes to modern Indian cooking, we look to Vivek Singh, the Executive Chef and owner of the Cinnamon Collection. Alongside his restaurants, Vivek has a regular guest slot of BBC’s Saturday Kitchen, has written six cookbooks and has collaborated with many chefs for supper clubs, most of whom cook at his favourite restaurants. We caught up with Vivek to find out exactly where you can catch him eating in London.
Tramshed
What’s not to love about Tramshed? It’s the genius of Mark Hix, that combines high art (it has Damien Hirst’s famous Cock and Bull installation) and a great setting with easy accessible dishes, a simple offering of chicken and steak. I love the energy and vision here that has made people take to maps to seek out this restaurant in an otherwise derelict part of town.
Don’t Miss: The roast Indian Rock chicken, perfect to share with family or friends.

To celebrate Holi, Vivek Singh is inviting everyone down to Cinnamon Kitchen City’s House of HOLI pop-up. For thirty minutes you can don those protective white suits and immerse yourself in a world of colour and paint throwing, before tucking into tasty Indian bites and drinks.
House of Holi takes place between the 6th and 21st March 2019.
