Bored of dull winter hues? Ready for a style refresh? Then hit one of our high street faves, Oliver Bonas, for this season’s most colourful fashion.

In Partnership With Oliver Bonas

The idea of injecting rainbow hues into your wardrobe can be daunting, especially after months of gothic-level darkness. However, if the international catwalks are anything to go by, we need to start preparing for a wave of bold brights. We’re talking top-to-toe colour-blocking in the most striking of ways. Greens, pinks, cherry reds – no shade is off limits, but how do you wear without looking like a kids’ TV presenter? With relaxed tailoring and beautifully made pieces, that’s how. Read on to discover how we’ll be embracing colour in SS24.

1. The Waistcoat

Get ready to see a lot more of this simple garment. After appearing on the runways at the likes of Bottega Veneta and Fendi, the structured vest is set to be a firm favourite with the style set. Worn with matching trousers or even the full suit, it looks chic; actually, it’s perfection. For summer, we’ll be wearing with contrasting sandals in either black or white to really make the pink pop. Alternatively, if you’re not ready to don full-on Barbie pink, your waistcoat will still look totally on point with loose-fit jeans.

2. The Suit

We’re all about statement suits in standout shades for head-to-toe impact. I mean, what’s not to love? Laid-back, yet smart; colourful, yet chic, we’re so here for this look. Plus, a major tick to Oliver Bonas for creating this co-ord in THE colour of the season.

Green ruled the runways for the spring/summer ’24 collections. From the dark leather suit at Ferragamo to the more vibrant grassy shades at Victoria Beckham and Balmain, greens were definitely at the fore. Thankfully this nature-inspired colour works with most skin tones, plus it’s less overwhelming than some of the hot pinks and siren reds.

Slip on a bold-coloured suit for the most impactful spring outfit.

3. The Jumpsuit

Another favourite with The Handbook team is the grown-up onesie. Honestly, the jumpsuit is possibly one of the easiest, yet hard-working pieces in your wardrobe. Think of it as your ‘one and done’; your throw-on alternative to a summer dress. Obviously, we’re here for styles in more neutral tones, but as the temps warm up, why not brave this all-in-one in a brighter colour? Keep your accessories minimal, and let this one-piece do all the talking.

Jumpsuits have risen in popularity over the years, primarily for their comfort, ease and undeniable cool-factor. Plus, the style set adore them.

4. The Denim Jacket

If you’re looking for this season’s must-have outerwear, then look no further. Seen throughout fashion month on achingly stylish folk, demand for this classic piece has gone through the roof. It offers ideal transitional layering and, as you’d expect, the perfect pairing to mega bright shades. There have been oversized and ’70s cuts, but if you want to snap up a quirky version with a feminine nod, then the below has temptation written all over it. The ruching on the shoulders is subtle, and yet truly fabulous, as are the scalloped pockets. We sense a hint of ’80s styling, and yet this jacket totally SS24.

The denim jacket complements bright summer colours – update yours now with this 2024 style from Oliver Bonas.
