90s Kids, This Night Out Has Your Name On It
Whether you were born in the 90s or simply appreciate the era for what it was: iconic – this new night out is for you. You’ve likely heard of Hijingo Bingo in London’s East – a lively spot for group gatherings big and small. Now, for a limited time only, you can enjoy a throwback-themed occasion with The ’90s Download – read on to find out what’s in store, along with our team’s experience when visiting for a recent Handbook bonding day.
The ’90s energy
From Furbies to bucket hats, the tribute to the beloved decade is in full swing at Hijingo Bingo. Expect some of the era’s most famous songs, including hip-hop and pop classics, as the backdrop to your supercharged bingo session.
This is a far cry from your grandma’s bingo night (no shade to grandma), with neon lights, a lively playlist, themed tie breakers, throwback cocktails and a range of prizes to be won, including light-up jackets, 90’s-style Instax Minis, cash prizes, and even a holiday.
Plus, enjoy the rewind to ’90s prices (yes, really) with a pint starting from just £1.80.
I’m usually not a fan of bingo, but this is such a cool experience, and it makes the perfect spot for a corporate outing. Special mention for the 90s pop music – it’s my jam.

What’s involved
Start your evening with pre-drinks at the bar before making your way into the games room and finding a table. After placing your orders, buckle up for the show. The show’s hosts, dressed in outfits reminiscent of Squid Game, demonstrate how the bingo works (i.e. how to win) along with different stages and prizes that can be won. It’s all a little bit futuristic, slightly hectic, and very fun once you decide to lean in.
I was initially unsure what to make of a bingo event but, as the evening went on, we all got really into it and unleashed our competitive side.

In addition to serving a range of throwback-inspired drinks, you can also enjoy a selection of snacks, including burgers, fries, tofu samosas, and chicken skewers, among others.
How to book
Tickets start from £16 per person, and from £32 for group packages, which include a selection of bites, one house drink, and six rounds of bingo. The 90s Download is running until the 12th October, so make sure to get in while you still can.
