10 Ways to Get Battered on a Tuesday
We are of course talking about pancake batter, because tomorrow is Shrove Tuesday. Easter is rather early this year, which means we’ve only had a few days to gorge ourselves silly and drink all the drinks after being virtuous in January before we start being healthy again for Lent by giving up chocolate/alcohol/sugar. Ricotta Pancakes
Our home from home in Pimlico, No.11 Piimlico Road have a special menu featuring fluffy, ricotta pancakes. Start with smoked salmon, crushed avocado, dill or house made honey roast ham, blue cheese sauce and chives and then get stuck into the likes of bananas and peanut butterscotch. Then just roll yourself home. Simple! If you’re in Chiswick or Clapham they’ll also be serving them at No.1 Duke Street and No.32 Old Town.

Pancake connoisseurs, Where the Pancakes Are, are kicking off their 2016 residencies at Habitat on the Kings Road. They’ll be serving up stacks of their pancakes which are more nutritious than others with organic flour and buckwheat in the mix. Alongside classics such as bacon, blueberries and maple syrup, you’ll find toppings include avocado, caramelised pineapple, elderflower infused strawberries and their latest addition to the menu ‘The Dutch Baby’, oven-baked with Golden Delicious apples and cinnamon! Sounds delish to us!

We never need an excuse to party, but when we hear the words ‘pancake party’ we’ll be there before you can say Great British Flip Off. That’s right, Stories are hosting a pancake party with a pancake flipping competition – how many can you flip in a minute? They’ll also have a pancake day menu which includes buttermilk and gluten free options, ‘mancakes’ made with beer batter and served with bacon, Mexican style sweetcorn pancakes and wait for it… deep fried pancakes. Banoffee inspired pancakes served with salted caramel rum sauce, fresh banana, whipped cream, and Nutella – we think we’ve gone to pancake heaven.
