Boyds Grill & Wine Bar

Charing Cross (0 miles)

What: Unashamedly British Boozer

Why: Boyd’s delivers quality food and service in opulent surroundings, with a nod to its Victorian heritage, but with none of the formalities and stuffiness that such décor may imply! The restaurant can be booked for private dinners, afternoon tea or lunch for groups of up to 80 guests. The decadent centerpiece bar is perfect for a drinks reception of which you can either reserve the intimate side bar area for up to 40 people or the entire lounge area for 80 people.

Aqua Shard

What: Sky high restaurant

Why: Located on level 31 of The Shard (not one for those afraid of heights!), this restaurant boasts breath-taking views from its restaurant, private dining rooms and spectacular three-storey high atrium bar. Dishes feature carefully selected local produce and combine the staple ingredients of British cooking with ground-breaking techniques. The atrium bar is open all day with no reservation needed and serves an extensive menu of cocktails including two signature selections, one with ingredients inspired by the botanicals used to make gin and the second by a most British staple – tea.

Voltaire Cocktail Bar & Vaults

Blackfriars (0.3 miles)

What: A bar with a colourful history

Why: This place definitely has a colourful past. It was once a palace, it was previously a prison and now it’s a stellar champagne bar and cigar terrace in the city. Not sure which of these incarnations have the most scandalous tales, but we reckon the current one definitely has some stories to tell! Bookings can be made for up to 30 people, using the super easy booking feature on their website.

What: Open plan partying

Why: Not an ice bar as its name may suggest, this uber cool venue is practically a blank canvas that is perfect for you to kit out for corporate events. Companies can also use the venue’s bespoke planning service, which helps you to organise your unique event exactly how you’d like it.

Bodo's Schloss

What: Ski bar without the skiing

Why: Be transported straight from the hustle and bustle of Kensington into a beautiful Austrian ski lodge; restaurant, bar & nightclub. The team here plan bespoke events. They can create a tailored package catering to your needs and organise live entertainment, bands, DJ’s, pianists, canine hosts (Huskies, St Bernard’s), filming and photography, personalised menus and invitations for an optimum night. What: No peasant zone (it’s in the name)

Why: Boujis is among the best – and most revered – of West London’s glamour-minded nightclubs. The club can be hired exclusively on Monday nights – or until 10pm on any other day – for up to 195 guests. On regular nights any of the venue’s 23 tables can be booked for groups of 10 or more. The semi-private alcove spaces are a highlight, offering enough seated space for up to 30 guests. The club’s versatile open space doubles up as an ideal hot spot for a range of private event functions.

Chiltern Firehouse

What: Celeb hangout

Why: This traditional hotel and restaurant has become the ‘it’ place to go in London, with the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Kendall Jenner regularly frequenting the venue. The space is available for hire too, so why not get on the hottest guest list in London by forcing your way in?

What: It’s all gravy

Why: OXO2 is the perfect space for a broad range of events, including parties, conferences and product launches. The venue is also licensed for civil wedding and partnership ceremonies…aww. What: Chelsea member’s club

Why: This super exclusive member’s club is a bit of an enigma for those not ‘on the list’ but this place is available for events, just don’t take any pictures (photography is forbidden in all forms – got to keep up the mystery).

The Capital Hotel

What: Fancy with a capital F

Why: This decadent hotel, which is the world’s closest hotel to Harrods don’t you know, is a brilliant space for meetings where you’re looking to impress. You can book meeting rooms for breakfasts and working lunches and the room come complete with an LCD projector and screen, so you can really nail your big presentation!

What: Reach for the sky

Why: Sky Garden provides 45,000 sq ft of high level amenity space with stunning 360 degree panoramic views of London. There are three dedicated events spaces available for hire at Sky Garden on Levels 35, 36 and 37 as well as two restaurants and a private dining room. The capacities range from 16 to 250 guests with the option to hire the entire venue with a capacity for 450 guests.
