Don’t Miss These Weekend Belters: Friday 28th – Sunday 30th
It’s only the bloody weekend again! Yes, time has elapsed meaning that we’re staring down the barrel of two whole days (and an evening, if you count Friday) of time to fill with fun, food and flights of fancy. Which is where The Handbook comes in. Viva la weekend.
Bubblewrap Waffle
What: Cat lady
It would seem that the appetite for creepy Japanese cat-person Hello Kitty remains unabated. So much so that there’s now a Hello Kitty Pop-up, popping up at Bubblewrap Waffle. We are now mid-way through quite a heated office debate about whether Hello Kitty is actually a cat or not. On the one hand she looks like a cat and she’s called Kitty. She has whiskers FFS. Opposing is the fact that her creator says she’s a little girl. Which makes the whole obsession a little disconcerting. The whiskers are, presumably, an endocrine issue. Oh yes, anyway, so Hello Kitty are taking over at Bubblewrap Waffle in Chinatown giving you the rather unique opportunity to eat your very own cat/girl character with a Hello Kitty Bubblewrap. Made with a red velvet waffle base and filled with rose and strawberry gelato and topped with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, fresh strawberries and a bespoke Hello Kitty Chocolate. (H)mmm!
