5 of the Best Juice Bars in London

It looks like London’s love affair with smoothies and juices might just stand the test of time. And who can blame us, when the benefits of drinking them include glowing skin, healthy hair and a whole host of other health benefits? Most importantly how else are we going to get our kale/ beetroot fix before 9am? So here are 5 of the best juice bars that we at The Handbook HQ love:

Moosh

Why: Good thing that the Moosh team are super whizzes at blending up juices and smoothies fast so you can get one and go, as come the weekend this place is packed. The menu has over 42 different juices and smoothies, yes you did read that correctly 42, including a whole green juice section to soothe those frazzled livers after a night out. Our favourites include the Protein Powerhouse which is pretty much a meal in itself and the Cholesterol Buster aka apple, cucumber and raspberry can’t be beaten. They also do power shots if you need your nutrients straight up.

Roots and Bulbs

Why: With stores in Marylebone and South Kensington, Roots and Bulbs, can’t promise to turn you into a supermodel (their words not ours…we swear) but they can serve you up food which is completely unprocessed and most importantly real. All of their juices are twice cold pressed to ensure maximum nutrients are kept and if you’re after a practical short-term juice cleanse before a big event then they do juice plans too. We’re also loving the names of the juices, they’re all very minimal, A2 is almond milk with matcha and green tea, didn’t you know?

Crussh

Why: If you can get over the 90’s name then Crussh actually do pretty good juices, it’s a classic case of what’s on the inside that counts. With three stores in London ( High Street Kensington, Russell Square and Notting Hill) they’re creating some of the freshest juices around all of which can be boosted with the likes of guarana and spirulina for when you really can’t tackle Monday morning.

Press

Why: Press have realised that if we’re to be happy we need to be balanced and if we’re to be balanced we have to eat well, but if we want to eat well it had better taste good too – because no one wants their juice to actually taste like stringy celery and kale, we just want the benefits. Their cold pressed juices are wonderfully delicious and they’ve just launched SX Juice at Selfridges designed to give your sex drive a bit of a boost just in time for Valentine’s Day – get drinking.

The Juice Well

Why: Founded by Will Ricker, the guy behind La Bodega Negra, The Juice Well are all about reminding us to ‘eat a rainbow every day’ because that way you’ll get all the micronutrients and vitamins that you need to keep you fabulous. It might seem like green juice is where it’s at but check out their purple juices which are designed to rejuvenate and repair, which is exactly what we need during winter.
