november restaurant openings including jones crumpets

November is shaping up to be another standout month for dining out in London as the capital leans into cosy autumn evenings. Some of the UK’s most celebrated culinary talents are stepping into the spotlight, from Tom Booton opening his debut neighbourhood restaurant in Belgravia to Manchester cocktail royalty SCHOFIELD’S BAR touching down in Covent Garden.

Elsewhere, Big Mamma brings unapologetic 1930s Milanese glamour to the City, cult favourites like Imad’s Syrian Kitchen and Bar Douro expand to new postcodes, and artisan specialists are perfecting everything from stone-milled pan pizza to gourmet crumpets. Here are the London openings worth having on your radar this month.

Executive Chef Christian Onia’s menu pairs SUMI classics with Marylebone exclusives, such as grilled scallop with saffron kimizu, double tuna temaki, and shot mullet market specials. The site will also introduce SUMI’s first afternoon café service, dishing up house-made Japanese pastries and snacks alongside signature serves like a Matcha Colada.

Soho will see the team become the first in the UK to import rare Maronesa vaca velha from the mountains of Trás-os-Montes, celebrated across dishes like flame-grilled Posta Maronesa. Head Chef Alfonso’s menu is the group’s most classically minded yet, matching British and Italian provenance with signature indulgence.
