Things You Can Do This Weekend
Like Theresa May, the weekend can’t come soon enough. Unlike Theresa May, the weekend won’t come with a deluge of Brexit gloom and leadership challenges; which rather frees us up. So what will you do with the time saved by not being Theresa May? Here are some ideas…
Taste of London at Tobacco Dock
The festive edition of Taste of London has opened today at East London’s Tobacco Dock, transforming it into a Christmassy haven for the discerning foodie. The weekend event will bring together 19 leading restaurants, food and drink brands along with chefs, shops and showmen in a whirl of masterclasses, menus and mayhem over four days of indulgence. It quite literally is the perfect start to the Christmas season.
There’s a host of restaurants, including the likes of Barbecoa, Jamie Oliver’s BBQ joint; Rohit Ghai’s new Indian restaurant Kutir and the home of homemade pasta, Nona Tonda, all helping guests to piece together their perfect tasting menu. Roam between the restaurants and assemble your bucket-list meal. Or enjoy cocktail masterclass, shop at over 100 artisianal food and drink producers or round the experience off on Saturday night, as DJ BBQ serves hot dogs and hot tunes for a two hour DJ set.
