Regent Street
Life On The Streets
I’ve got an app that tells you the most polluted spots in London, and generally the biggest spike of noxious gasses (beside in the Handbook office after Emily’s been on the bean salad) is the corner of Regent Street. So it’s pretty ideal that throughout July, and for the sixth consecutive year running, Sundays on Regent Street will be car free. Starting this Sunday, Summer Streets will give Londoners the chance to wander freely along this Georgian marvel while the shops will be getting in on the carnival feel with lululemon offering fitness classes, a dozen food stalls from the likes of Danish bakery Ole & Steen and Gordon Ramsay’s Heddon Street Kitchen will pop-up and Tommy Hilfiger have promised to bring along a massive Scalextric track. I’ll take that over sky-high nOx gasses.

Art Of Champagne
In this weather you have to stay hydrated, and how better than with Champagne? Throw in a bit of culture and you’ve the perfect excuse to pour Perrier-Jouët down your gullet like it’s a storm drain in rainy season. Welcome to Masterpiece. Guests at InterContinental London Park Lane can enjoy a unique experience this summer, with a welcome bottle of Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque, then the following day the butler will bring a Champagne brunch to your room before the chauffeur arrives to escort you to Masterpiece, in the grounds of The Royal Hospital Chelsea, enjoying the exquisite artefacts on show, including learning the intricacies of the art of creating Champagne, with a private talk and tasting from Perrier-Jouët Ambassador, Jonathan Simms. Finally, a bottle of Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs N.V. will be waiting back at the Champagne Perrier-Jouët terrace. Sounds like a reasonable way to spend a day…

DENIM are all about showing the power of being true to your identity in a time of global division, while partying hard at the same time, making their appearance at Boom Cycle Battersea for an afternoon performance as much as ‘must’ as their Q&A afterward about self acceptance and celebrating your true identity.
