Cloud Dancer, a warm, dreamy shade of white, welcomes soft, pared-back decor while also complementing striking maximalist shades and designs. Yes, it may have caused controversy in the creative world, with some questioning whether it’s even a colour, but does that not in itself make this hue more interesting? In the 26 years that Pantone has selected its Colour of the Year, this is the first time it has chosen a shade in the white family. Again… interesting.
For me, the wispy, relaxed white whispers a sense of effortless elegance. It’s not in your face. It’s not overwhelming or scary.
