When it comes to designer collaborations, H&M‘s partnerships have become one of the biggest fashion news stories of the year, and now another big name has joined forces with the high street hero. Introducing: Rabanne HM.
Inspired by Paco Rabanne’s trailblazing vision in the ’60s and Julien Dossena’s current tenure as the brand’s Creative Director, this collaboration is one of H&M’s best yet. Even if you don’t consider yourself an expert on designer fashion, chances are you’ll recognise the iconic party-worthy designs such as metallic disc dresses and chainmail designs, which were considered revolutionary at the time. To this day, the brand continues to be one of the most sought-after in the industry, especially when it comes to partywear pieces.
And what better way to announce the news than by hosting a start-studded event in Paris? To mark the launch, last month H&M hosted a celebrity-filled night at the famous Silencio nightclub, with a guest list featuring the likes of Cher, Irina Shayk, Elle Fanning, and Ashley Graham (to name a few) – all wearing a sneak peek of the upcoming range. We also got a chance to try out the new collaboration, see more on our Instagram…

“Where better to reveal a collection made for floor-filling moments than at an iconic nightclub?” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, Head of Design Womenswear and Creative Advisor at H&M. “It was a joy to unveil the Rabanne H&M collaboration in Paris with our guests, revealing the show-stopping potential of this versatile collection.”
“Rabanne has always been a joyful brand, and this event captured the playful mood of the Rabanne H&M collection,” adds Dossena. “I always want people to feel liberated when they wear our clothes, so it was great to see guests having fun and embracing the collection’s hedonistic spirit.”
What’s included in Rabanne H&M?
We’re close to Christmas, so it’s apt this collection is full of show-stopping party-wear, including a sequinned dress, a bubblegum pink mohair cardigan, a glittery silver maxi dress and a chainmail halterneck and skirt.
Rabanne H&M release date
Anyone who’s shopped one of H&M’s designer collaborations before knows that they sell out fast, so if you want any chance of securing a piece from the limited range, you need to get in early. H&M has confirmed that the Rabanne is available to shop both in-store and online on from today, 9th November 2023. Top tip: if you miss out on the womenswear line, the men’s pieces are just as extra, from an iconic chain mail scarf to faux fur cropped jackets and sporty track pants. The menswear isn’t selling out quite as fast but we suggest you still run, don’t walk, for this one.
