46 Glam Swimsuits To Perfect Poolside Chic

3rd July 2024 | By Ashling McCloy

As summer draws closer, we’re all scrambling to find the most flattering swimwear. In fact, not just flattering, but chic, sexy and sophisticated, too. Bikinis are in abundance, but for once, the one-piece is where it’s at. From plunging necklines to cut-out details, swimsuits have had a glam makeover and we’re loving it.

Picture a basic swimsuit and you’ll have flashbacks to crowded leisure centres and sticky changing rooms. Well, let us challenge your view on the old school style costume. You see, there’s nothing basic about this season’s take on the humble one-piece. From pretty ones to seriously sexy swimsuits, we’re so ready to buy them all.

One label responsible for the revamp of the swimsuit has to be Hunza G. Made famous back in the ‘90s after Julia Roberts wore a cut-out mini dress in the brand’s signature, unique crinkle-stretch fabrication in the film, Pretty Woman, it’s gone on to become an iconic brand. With a One Size Fit mantra made possible by figure-flattering fabric that flexes to sculpt and support all shapes. Similarly, Australian swimwear Form and Fold set out to produce a collection that not only looked stunning, but offered support and comfort for larger cup sizes.

Also on our radar is Evarae – sustainable, luxurious and British, what’s not to love? The body-sculpting suits are a far cry from the frumpy styles of the past. These are breathtakingly beautiful and will have you beach ready in seconds.

Evarae, Otto One Piece, £270

EVARAE is a British sustainable luxury resort, swim, and ready-to-wear brand taking inspiration from nature and faraway places. Founded by Georgia Thompson, she wanted her customer to feel confident and look incredible in her swimwear. So if you’re after poolside chic, each piece exudes an air of glamour and sophistication.

Two other labels with a focus on sustainability have got to be Italian brand, Masarà and British born AQUANISSOS. Both pride themselves on using regenerated nylon, a fabric made from pre- and post-consumer waste, such as plastic and fishing nets that would otherwise end up in landfill or in the oceans. Furthermore, it’s ultra-resistant to chlorine, sun cream, oils and UV rays with a UPF +50 rating. Now that’s a fashion win.
