Marylebone Village

Home to independent brands and restaurants bursting with stocking fillers and festive menus, Marylebone Village is the ultimate Christmas destination to explore this winter. You’ll find everything you need in one place, helping to make this Yuletide one to remember.

Wander under the brand new (and sustainable) twinkling lights along Marylebone High Street, which were switched on last week, and be dazzled by the magical window displays to get into the festive spirit.

Expect to uncover Christmas menus at Carlotta and The Coach Makers Arms, mulled wines from The Golden Eagle, and cinnamon buns and coffees from Hagen, to name a few. Afterwards, head to Moxon Street to pick up exciting gifts for foodies, from artisanal cheeses from La Fromagerie to truffle boxes from Rococo Chocolates.

The Great Christmas Feast

Following five brilliant sold-out years, The Lost Estate’s legendary festive experience returns this month. Titled The Great Christmas Feast, Londoners are invited to enter the winding, starlit streets of Victorian London and lose themselves in the magic of Dickens’ timeless tale, A Christmas Carol. 

Hidden inside their West Kensington location, you’ll find cinematic live music, mesmerising set designs and a three-course Yuletide feast awaits you.

Guided by Charles himself, the experience will see you come face-to-face with his lively characters, dine on a Victorian-inspired banquet and even enjoy cocktails from Dickens’ very own personal cellar.

Christmas Games at Harvey Nichols

Roll on up to Harvey Nichols’ fun new Festive Fairground. Channelling their inner child with an in-store fairground with a twist, the retailer will be letting visitors win luxury prizes.

Taking inspiration from the magic of claw games, up for grabs will be beauty goodies from Fenty and Nars, socks and scrunchies from Ganni and Isabel Marant, and festive food and drink options from the Harvey Nichols Food Hall. At the Knightsbridge store, customers can play for their chance to win one of three Harvey Nichols Gift Cards worth £1,000.

Christmas Cinema at Kitchen at Holmes

Who doesn’t love a cinema pop-up? When it looks this good, we can’t resist cosying up and catching a Christmas classic. Kitchen at Holmes has unveiled its new rooftop and it’s packed full of festive feels, from faux fur-lined blankets to lit-up trees and even an ornamental fireplace under the big screen. 

In the run-up to Christmas, they will be showing all the favourites, from A Christmas Carol to The Holiday, Die Hard to Bad Santa. Be quick with this one as dates are already selling out.

Glide at Battersea Power Station

Ice skating at Glide at Battersea Power Station - Christmas pop-ups in London

Battersea Power Station’s iconic ice rink returns for its second year. Created in partnership with Jo Malone London, the rink is set against one of the city’s most iconic buildings and features a giant 30ft twinkling Christmas tree. 

Once you’ve skated around a few times, head to the Glass House to warm up with a hot chocolate or boozy winter warmer, gazing out over the rink.

Curling at King’s Cross

Whether you’re a curling champ or you fancy giving it a go for the first time, Coal Drops Yard has just launched a winter pop-up dedicated to all things curling. 

Teams of up to six can channel their inner competitive nature and see if they have what it takes to win a game of curling. Open seven days a week, this is a brilliant activity for all ages, whether you’re with the family or heading on a first date. Loser buys a round of drinks!

Gingerbread City

Need some inspiration for your festive gingerbread creation this Christmas? Look to the Gingerbread City, the annual exhibition that sees architects, designers and engineers build a city out of gingerbread.

Deck The Halls at Pergola Paddington

From Christmas chalets perfect for group bookings to pretty woodland scenes, Pergola Paddington has gone all out with its Deck The Halls takeover this winter.

Skate at Somerset House

Grab your skates and whizz on over to Somerset House to experience the capital’s most magical Christmassy experience.

You’ll find food and drink offerings waiting for you at the finish line too from the king of pop-ups, Jimmy Garcia, helping to warm you up with comforting favourites.

Ski Lodge at The Montague on the Gardens

Imagine you’re anywhere but London when you step inside this alpine-themed ski lodge at The Montague on the Gardens. This festive space has been transformed with fake snow, skis, piste maps, reindeer and strings of fairy lights and lanterns. 

Helping you combat the cold will be mulled wine, hot spiced cider, mugs of steaming hot chocolate cocktails and big woolly rugs to bundle up in.

Fire & Fromage by Jimmy’s Pop Up

Returning to Southbank for another winter season is Jimmy’s Pop Up. This Christmas the space will be transformed with festive snow globes, complete with cosy blankets, wintry hanging foliage and plenty of fondue to go around. 

Enjoy a blend of Jimmy’s secret Swiss cheese or a vegan alternative for those who love fondue, or opt for the raclette bar, featuring new potatoes, charcuterie, breads and salads with melted raclette on top.

Miracle at Henrietta

Returning for its sixth year is Covent Garden’s Miracle at Henrietta, the iconic pop-up bar all the way from the US. Renowned for its kitsch interiors, outlandish colour scheme and novelty cocktails, this pop-up is guaranteed to bring a smile to even the Grinch-iest of folk.

Expect everything from candy canes and giant Nutcrackers to endless tinsel and bauble-filled garlands.

Cocktails will once again be on the menu, featuring the hero Christmapolitan, made with vodka, elderflower, dry vermouth, spiced cranberry sauce, lime, rosemary and an absinthe mist.

Alpine Igloos at The Sipping Room by Drake & Morgan

It may be raining outside, but inside The Sipping Room by Drake & Morgan’s Alpine igloos, it’s a winter wonderland. 

Created in partnership with Grey Goose, the terrace has been decked out with three igloos, overlooking the water at Canary Wharf. Complete with woodland wreaths and twinkling lights, these cosy igloos seat up to 10 guests. 

Raise a toast and cheers with limited-edition Grey Goose cocktails, including our favourite the Berry Kisses Fizz, made with chestnut syrup, spiced berries and topped with Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée.

Mulled Wine Stall at Pan Pacific London

Is there anything more Christmassy than a mulled wine to warm you up? Every Tuesday and Wednesday in the lead-up to Christmas, from 4:30-7pm, Pan Pacific London will be serving up mulled drinks in Bishopsgate Plaza. 

Warming drinks include classic red mulled wine, Saint Germain white mulled wine or alcohol-free fruit punch. Add in a shot of Amaretto, Saint Germain Spritz or brandy to really warm your cockles. 

While you sip, soak up the festive vibes and immersive installation MOSAIC, designed by award-winning artist Arnaud Lapiette. Created in collaboration with EC (Business Improvement District) and MTArt Agency, Pan Pacific London’s ‘orchard of trees’ light installation reimagines the traditional tree, made from recycled emerald-green glass.

Panettone Experience at Eataly

Panettone lovers, this one’s for you… Eataly, London’s leading destination for all things Italian, has launched an exciting panettone experience this winter. 

When dining at either Terra or Pasta e Pasta, you can finish off your festive feast with their experience. Choose your favourite panettone slice and topping of your choice from their panettone cart. Think mascarpone cream, vanilla sauce or moreish chocolate sauce laced on top of your slice – yum. 

In-stone you’ll find over 45 different varieties of the Italian favourite, the largest selection in London.

Tipis on the Green

Inspired by cosy alpine ski chalets, Tipis on the Green is a brand-new pop-up bar heading for Parsons Green. Open from Friday 17th November, the space will bring that ski chalet nuance to London, complete with retro memorabilia, vintage Yuletide decorations, fairy lights and biofuel fire pit tables. 

Expect plenty of apres-ski cuisine to go around, including mushroom arancini, French diot sausages cooked in white wine and tartiflette. You’ll be able to warm up with a Baileys hot chocolate or festive Negroni. 

Throughout the pop-up, you can take part in different events, from wreath-making to bottomless margarita brunches.
