It’s no secret we love an interior bargain here at The Handbook and if you do too, you are in for a treat. We’ve handpicked the best supermarket homeware pieces stocking the shelves right now, from designer-look bedding to charming accessories and dinnerware that belies its humble price tag. Whether you’re a regular at M&S or are loyal to Sainsbury’s, here are our top finds to pick up alongside your next weekly shop.

George At Asda Interiors

George at Asda has really upped its game regarding interiors with so many pieces we want to add to basket right now.

Their linens are killing it right now, from this stunning scalloped stripe duvet set – a steal starting at just £12 – to checkerboard towels that will make your bathroom feel like a chic boutique hotel.

There are also plenty of accessories worth popping in your basket, from a stone-effect urn-shaped vase – perfect filled with wildflowers or cool and contemporary on its own – to a raffia scalloped tray to keep things organised on your dressing table or a console in the hallway.

Good for: designer-look bedding and super soft towels at affordable price points.

Sainsbury’s Homeware

Next time you pick up a bunch of flowers from Sainsbury’s, check out their vase selection tool. Stocking the Habitat range, the supermarket has some great options, from a wiggle circus stripe vase to a rustic ceramic urn and a cool mid-century-style mango wood bud vase. They also have some great cushions in charming prints and a bobbin pale blue frame that would make for a lovely housewarming gift.

Good for… quirky vases and aesthetically pleasing cookware all in an on-trend colour palette.

Right now, Sainsburys is great for quirky vases and aesthetically pleasing cookware all in an on-trend colour palette.

Marks & Spencer Home

M&S have always been a favourite when it comes to affordable interiors and this season, they are just getting better.

It’s their lighting that has really won us over, with some charming table lamps – we love the Kirsten checked design in chocolate brown – as well as the scalloped rattan shade that would look chic hung low over a dining table.

Speaking of dining, how sweet are M&S’s trio of candy-striped candle holders to style up your next tablescape? A bargain at under £10.

Finally, their Frame accent chair in mossy green velvet comes in at under £150 and will transform a living room space. We love two paired together with a sofa on either side of a cool coffee table.

Good for… an all-rounder in all departments but this season, their lighting is particularly brilliant.

Tesco Homewares

If you’re in the market for some vintage-inspired ’70s feel interiors this season, Tesco is where it is at. Their homewares team have nailed that retro, moody aesthetic with cognac-hued vases, gold finish lighting and jewel-toned cushions in velvet prints.

For bigger ticket items, their wooden and rattan sideboard is seriously good value at just £87.99. Put one in a hallway to disguise all the stuff that accumulates that no one needs to see, or in a bathroom to organise your skincare products.

Good for… affordable furniture and vintage-inspired glassware.
