The Arding Rooms

The Arding Rooms is a recently opened private members’ club in the heart of Clapham Junction, set within the beautifully restored and historic Arding & Hobbs building. Created as a modern neighbourhood club, it offers a beautiful club space to meet, dine, connect and party, alongside an amazing rooftop terrace with panoramic views across London.

Members enjoy seasonal, healthy and delicious all day dining, with thoughtfully curated club food and drink menus from the kitchen and bar, designed for every occasion. The club is a true community hub, bringing together like minded locals with plenty of opportunities to network, collaborate and build meaningful connections.

A real standout is the comprehensive events programme, centred around three core pillars: wellness, social and experience led events, all included within membership. Members also have access to incredible podcast recording suites, meeting rooms and private event spaces, with preferential booking rates across the board. The design of The Arding Rooms was shaped by x+why’s whydesign team in collaboration with Bath based historic buildings specialists Berdoulat. Inspired by the Arts and Crafts heritage of the area, the interiors balance character and craftsmanship with a warm, contemporary feel.

Original features have been carefully preserved, including the striking domed stained glass window that crowns the main restaurant space. Antique objects are layered throughout the club, referencing its former life as a department store. Bespoke joinery, from the bar to the reception desk, sits alongside subtle nods to the building’s drapery past, with room names and details inspired by sewing and fabric, creating a space that feels considered, welcoming and distinctly local.
