Breakfast on Saturday is like being in an airport duty free shop – ANYTHING GOES and good intentions of being frugal or self-disciplined are uninvited. At Rivington Shoreditch,  they take brunchin’ the way they take their love of gin,  very seriously indeed (they have over 100 bottles of gin behind the bar so you can see what we mean!) so The Handbook has teamed up with them to offer one lucky winner and up to 3 friends a boozy brunch!

From 10am to 4pm every Saturday guests can choose from dishes like salt beef hash with fried duck egg; H Forman & Son smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel; and buttermilk pancakes, summer berries, crème fraiche and East End honey. For those of hungry disposition, truffled mac ‘n’ cheese with smoked streaky bacon, grilled flat iron steak and fried egg and the irresistible Rivington burger with chips cannot fail to thrill. The vegetarian options are enough to convert even the hardiest of meat eaters: bubble and squeak, home-made baked beans, fried duck egg, Portobello mushrooms and Eggs Florentine abound. And Francesco the Bar Manager has been hard at work creating an eminently suitable brunch cocktail menu – including healthy pressed juices, or slightly less healthy, Michelada (don’t ask, just try) or Burger Martini (again…).
